Hey Baltimore, summer is calling!
Sun, meet fun. We’re kicking off the season this year with a new 10-day event series bringing all the best arts, entertainment, recreation, and community events to Baltimore’s waterfront neighborhoods.
Check out free live music in our waterfront parks, try out a new fitness class, take a guided paddle of the harbor, and peruse local businesses’ special summer menus. There’s something fresh and fun happening every single day- just make your way down to the waterfront and we’ll handle the rest!

Baltimore by Baltimore
Join us in kicking off year 4 of Baltimore by Baltimore with Ladies on Deck, a celebration of sound, culture, and community. Producer Ty Alexander is bringing together some of Baltimore’s most dynamic women DJs, curators, and cultural leaders for a day rooted in joy, connection, and authentic expression. We’ll be taking over the Inner Harbor Amphitheater with a show-stopping lineup of performers and an exciting array of local vendors and artists.

Sail250® Maryland and Airshow Baltimore is a global gathering of international tall ships, military ships, and aircraft celebrating the 250th Anniversary of the founding of the United States. Maryland and Baltimore are part of a five-city national event which also includes the ports of New Orleans, Norfolk, New York and Boston. The event offers ship crews, cadets and midshipmen, aviators and, of course, visitors from all over the world to join in an unforgettable experience and a world-class celebration of all things maritime and aviation in commemoration of our Nation's semiquincentennial.The Maryland event will feature the return of the U.S. Navy Blue Angels Flight Demonstration Squadron and other aviation performers for an airshow over Baltimore Harbor, flyovers at Baltimore Inner Harbor, and the Open House at Martin State Airport.SAIL250® Maryland Fleet, Flight, and Festival activities will take place at Baltimore’s Inner Harbor, Fells Point, North Locust Point, Baltimore Peninsula, and Martin State Airport.SAIL250® Maryland & Air Show Baltimore is produced by Living Classrooms’ Historic Ships in Baltimore in partnership with the United States Navy, Maryland Department of Commerce Office of Tourism, City of Baltimore and Baltimore County as well as Sail Baltimore, Air Support, Martin State Airport, United States Coast Guard, and other agencies and organizations.

City Sand
A Legacy Harborplace event. It started in 1989 and was brought back in 2023. The event features teams of architects, landscape designers, urban planners, etc.. building large sand sculptures in 10’ x 10’ boxes. It is a competition with a judging panel and the public gets to vote on their favorite too. The teams are given a theme to interpret through sand sculptures. The Judges Choice winner receives the “coveted” golden shovel award, and the People’s Choice winner receives the silver bucket award. Produced in partnership with the Baltimore Architecture Foundation and AIA Baltimore.
